Mystics and Abilities

In Elyria, only 4 known magicians are left in all the world. But their power is too much for them to control and have to forge weapons and items with specific characteristic to seal their power. These items are known as Mystics, and while not everyone has them, the strongest warriors are known to posses them. A mystic is any type of item, weapon, armor or even living creature with power inside them. There are four basic type of Mystics which you can find below:

  • Heishi: This is any type of power inside a weapon. these weapons don't only have special abilities, but also are strong weapons for a normal battle with no abilities. These are simple to make and are part of the two most common type of mystics.
  • Kakushi: This is any type of power inside a non-combat item. These can be objects such as a ring or maybe some boots, these are usually known to be difficult to spot and can be very versatile. These are very easy to make and are one of the two most common type of mystics.
  • Yoroshi: This is any type of power inside an armor. These are known to be powerful mystics, even if quite rare, which can have a big variety of abilities and can also protect the user in normal fights. These are more difficult to make than the first two ones.
  • Shizenshi: This is as rare as Yoroshi but it's the only mystic created by different means. A mage has to slay a creature and link in in the weapon with some of the mage's power in order to create these. These mystics can be anything except an armor and have the ability to transform the owner into the creature inside it.
  • Seikishi: This is any power inside a living creature. These are the rarest known mystic and can only be created by sealing the mage's power inside a living creature. Owners of these weapons aren't usually very strong, but instead their weapon can fight along them as their allies and gain great powers.

Low Level Mysticts: These mystics don't usually take any of the above names and have no fighting capabilities. These can be bought in stores and usually have daily usage with simple abilities. Even normal people can handle and control the power from these mystics.

Now, one can't have more than one mystic until they reach Hero rank, but even then, Seikishis, Shizenshis and Yoroshis won't be allowed to have a different mystic, they will only be allowed to gain the abilities they would've gained with the second mystic. Each mystic can have random abilities, but only one, for example, you can have a Heishi type of mystic in a sword form which can manipulate fire, then you can have fire abilities, but you can't have it control fire, water and thunder just because you'd like to.

When it comes to abilities, these are the actual powers a mystic has, for example, the mystic mentioned before in the example would have a fire slash ability able to throw a moon like fire projectile towards the enemy. The abilities are divided in 5, from Level 1 to Level 5. These grow stronger as they grow in level and may have very destructive abilities. A primary mystic will naturally have:
4 level 1 Abilities
3 Level 2 Abilities
3 Level 3 Abilities
2 Level 4 Abilities
1 Level 5 Ability

However, you are able to buy more abilities if you wish. This way, you can have as following:
X level 1 Abilities
X Level 2 Abilities
5 Level 3 Abilities
3 Level 4 Abilities
2 Level 5 Ability

Your secondary mystic, for those who can actually get it, can have naturally 1 ability of each level, but they can buy more abilities to cap as followed.
X level 1 Abilities
5 Level 2 Abilities
3 Level 3 Abilities
2 Level 4 Abilities
1 Level 5 Ability

Special Rules when making Mystics

Because of the variety of different type of Mystics, different rules apply to each other except for Heishi and Kakushi. These two can have a single power which can be the manipulation of an element or maybe something else such as molding. These are the most common ones and the ones with more variety allowed. The other three type of mystics will have little and very simple rules which you can find bellow.

Yoroshi: Nobody really likes carrying their armor all the time, so when creating your mystic, you'll have to use one of your given 4 passive traits to specify the way you summon it. This can be maybe transforming the armor into a mask or ring (and vice versa) to make it easier to carry or even just summoning it from thin air.

Shizenshi: This type of mystics can basically transform you into a specific creature. But you can't actually stay in your form all the time, so when creating your mystic, you'll have to use one of your given 4 passive traits to specify the transformation you have, such as maybe placing an image or just describing it.

Seikishi: The rarest mystic of them all. Because of the usage of your mystic to fight instead of your own physical body, people with these tend to be weaker and only start with 2 stat points. Also, they only gain 2 points each time they rank up, but to make it fair for them, their mystic is 100% of the time fighting by their side. The mystic will also have stats, and it will actually have those of a normal human, starting out with 4 and gaining 3 each time it ranks up. This can make the mystic as powerful as a normal human but the owner significantly weaker.
